In the Mood for Simplicity

Black and white are two colors that never goes out of style. I am also a huge fan of geometric patterns. these two shirts from Wildfox just fit into the category of bring simple but not ordinary.

Jen did a post a couple days ago on her lazy day dress. these two shirts are definitely my lazy day go-to: super soft and comfortable. Its easy to throw them on and pair with some simple leggings and flats. Here i want to try wearing the american apparel lace shorts out, so i layered with a pair of sheer stockings.

In the Mood for a Bit of Cutouts

Other than mint and neon colors, cutouts have been on trend this season as well. Bolder designs have cutouts around the waist or belly button area (such as this one from nastygal, this one from TopShop), others put the geometric cutouts on the back (such as this one). I've been quite fond of this trend honestly. The designs get very creative and makes daily wearable clothes more art like. It terms of where the cutout should be, it depends on your personal taste and body type. They show off a bit skin but not trashy.

I found this dress at one of my favoriate stores – THERAPY. Loved about how it incorporates the cutout with a bit vintage collar styling.

Miz Mooz does everything with a bit vintage, a bit funkiness and some playfulness. These shoes from them are one of my go-to daily heels. They are not too high (about 2 inches) and very comfortable.

In the Mood for the Highlights in Life

First I bought the shoes and then I found myself buying everything in that same color. Maybe I'm optimistically looking forward to a bright summer or I just need a little highlighter in my life. Whatever the reason, you won't miss me walking down Broadway in these hot shorts for sure.

Summer is just around the corner so we wanted to share some of our favorite shoes to beat the heat in. There is no shoe that you'll put more miles on than a good pair of sandals because when the sun is out, you'll find yourself walking everywhere you go just to get a taste of the warm sun. "Sandals are tricky for me because most of them aren't produced in my size. However, I love sharing my wish list in hopes that someone can get to enjoy some of the shoes that I'll never get a chance to wear. I've always wanted a pair of electric yellow sandals so I've shared my two favorites here. The two heels are nice simple and elegant choices to accompany any dress, formal or casual. Lastly, the Coast Spike is my absolute favorite sandal of all time. I love the contrast straps and the killer spikes paired with a touch of snake skin. I still can't get over the fact that they don't make them in a size smaller than 6 but a girl can dream... or trip around in large sandals."

In the Mood for Rays of Spring

Love that spring is here, even though it is still a bit chilly to just be in a sun dress. In this weather I like layering a soft sweater on top of something for summer. It is also fun to mix different textures and adding in a bit accessories.

In the Mood for Something Cutesy

Maybe I have a specific style, but in general, I love pretty much every thing as long as they are matched with the right stuff :) and I always think there is going to be a time in my life that I would not pull off certain outfits.

For example: denim mini skirts → loved it in high school, but after 2nd yr college I became self-conscious about wearing them.

Now I love bright colors and patterns and mix match them. One day I would not be able to pull off an outfit with so much pink and red, so now I am trying to appreciate them as much as I can :D
