You Caught The Light

Photography by the effortless Albert Park
Like a lot of people, I too anticipated the release of the Phillip 3.1 collection for Target. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that most of it fit rather large. However, it's always easy to rock a loose-fit blouse with a waist belt and a tight skirt. While I still love this collection, alas it was not made for someone of my stature. But that didn't stop me from picking up a few things anyways (especially the bags).

I'm Wearing:
Top: Phillip Lim 3.1 for Target
Earrings: T+J Designs
Necklace: T+J Designs
Skirt: H&M (seen here)
Shoes: Vince Camuto Vickiy Pump (seen here)

In the Mood for a Lazy Day

I definitely bought this dress with the purpose of having something to throw on when I don't feel like bedazzling myself in the morning therefore it has become my "lazy day" dress. The dress is so elegant that anyone will look great wearing it and the silk feels so luxe when grazing against your skin. It would be even more perfect if it only had pockets! The zipper cuff is slowly becoming my favorite accessory however it's too big to wear on my wrist so I have to wear it 90's style and keep it on my arm.

What I'm Wearing

Dress: Club Monaco Lainey Dress
Sunglasses: Michael Kors Sheffield (from the John Taing Collection)
Bracelet: Zipper Cuff
Shoes: Vince Camuto Vickiy Pump (seen here)

In the Mood for May Flowers

Photography by Rishi Sanyal
The Skagit Tulip Festival is probably one of the most beautiful places in the northwest towards the end of April. The rows and rows of lush vibrant colors always make me excited to take photos... even if it's at 6 a.m. This denim shirt and the locale made me feel a bit like a farm girl but I love the lace detailing on the back and the color blends in well with a light colored skirt or even pants for that matter. I purchased this blouse fairly recently however, anything at Forever 21 has a life span of being on the shelf for two weeks before selling out. It's really a shame when it comes to unique pieces like this because it's hard to find anything remotely similar. I'm starting to become a fan of lace backs though.

What I'm Wearing

Blouse: Forever 21 Denim Cold Shoulder Shirt (similar)
Shirt: Express Sequin Racerback (similar)
Skirt: Club Monaco Pleated Chiffon Skirt (similar)
Necklace: T+J Designs Sleek Link (seen here)

In the Mood for a Dream in Creamsicle

This skirt is simply elegant and moves like a dream. I first fell in love with it when I saw how completely simple yet unique the shape was. The asymmetrical cut gives the skirt a unique view from each side yet the slit balances out the extra length to make a short girl, like me, look taller.

I found out today that my partner, Xiang, will be visiting Seattle next month which is super exciting because we rarely get a chance to see each other. I'm excited for all the blog photo shoots to come!

What I'm Wearing

Blouse: Broadway & Bloom Silk Blouse
Skirt: The Addison Story Asymmetrical Skirt
Earrings: T+J Designs Gold Tassels
Necklace: Forever 21 Leaf Tiered Necklace
Shoes: Vince Camuto Vickiy Pump (4" Version)

In the Mood for Cherry Blossoms

I bought this skirt closer to the middle of winter and have been waiting for a sunny weekend to finally break it out. The UW Quad is one of the most beautiful places in Seattle during the spring and I thought the colors of the cherry blossoms matched perfectly with this spring outfit. All the chiffon skirts at American Apparel are made beautifully however they are incredibly sheer so I recommend wearing them with tights. Apparently their ash rose color tights are basically as pale as my complexion.

The silk blouse is a favorite piece of mine that I will probably wear for many many outfits to come. I also feel the same way about the necklace which was designed by another local fashion blogger.

What I'm Wearing

In the Mood for Lace & Luxury

I must be subconsciously following Jack Donaghy's tapes on Negotiating to Win because I've notice the trend of red accents in a lot of my outfits lately. I don't regret this one though because one of my favorite trends this spring is the lace pencil skirt and they look pretty killer in red.

What I'm Wearing

Blouse: H&M Tier Chiffon Top (similar)
Skirt: Staring at Stars Tiered Crochet Mini Skirt
Necklace: Forever 21 Leaves Swag Necklace (strikingly similar)
Shoes: Vince Camuto Vickiy Pump (4" Version)
